Roco Kingdom Release Date and Global Launch Status
Is Roco Kingdom out in English? Global launch status, confirmed platforms, the Quack Quack Test beta, and what carries over at launch.
Roco Kingdom has no global release date yet. The English release exists only as a closed beta, the Quack Quack Test, which opens on 27 October 2026 at 03:00 CET on PC, Android and iOS, and the full launch is still officially listed as not announced. If you want to play in English before launch, that test is the only confirmed route, and nothing you do inside it will survive.
Global release date: what is confirmed
Only one date is real. The beta has a start time; the retail release has no date, no window and no pre-order page. Any countdown or "release date" you see on an aggregator is a placeholder unless it links back to an official announcement.

The beta start time converts to 02:00 UTC, 22:00 EDT on 26 October, and 10:00 in Beijing. The end date and test length have not been announced, so plan around the start rather than the finish.
Roco Kingdom vs Roco Kingdom: World
Both names point at the same game. Roco Kingdom: World is the Chinese title used for the CN build, which launched on 26 March 2026 (CN build). When the global version was announced in August 2026, the title was shortened to Roco Kingdom for English-speaking markets. The rename is cosmetic. It does not signal a different game, a reset, or a separate client with different rules.
The distinction still matters when you search. Most existing guides, videos and wikis were written against the CN build, and they use the longer name. If a search for "Roco Kingdom" returns nothing useful, search the full Chinese-style title as well. Every mechanic number on this site carries a build label, usually CN build, Season 3, so you can tell whether a number came from a version that has already been through several balance patches.
Confirmed platforms and stores
The global launch targets Windows, PS5, Xbox Series, iOS and Android, with Steam and Epic listed as the PC storefronts. That is the full confirmed set. A Switch version, a macOS build and a cloud streaming version have not been announced.
The beta list is narrower than the launch list: PC, Android and iOS. PS5 and Xbox Series are launch targets, not test platforms, so owning a console does not get you into the October test. Cross-play between PC and console at launch has not been announced either, and neither has cross-progression between them, so do not assume your PC account will follow you to a console.
The Quack Quack Test beta
The test is the first public English and Japanese client for the game. It is not a demo with a separate download you keep; it is a temporary build of the same project, and its account and server rules are still being decided.
- Start: 27 October 2026, 03:00 CET
- Platforms: PC, Android and iOS
- Languages: English and Japanese
- Payments: disabled for the duration of the test
- Progress: shared between PC and mobile during the test
- Wipe: yes, at the end of the test
How to get in
The sign-up flow has not been published in the details available at the time of writing. Whether access is open sign-up or invite-only, how many players are admitted, and which countries are eligible are all unconfirmed. The reliable path is the official site and the Steam and Epic listings, where the beta branch and the wishlist option sit under the same product page. Because payments are switched off during the test, nobody is selling access from inside the game; treat any third party charging for a key as unofficial.
What the beta is good for
Use the test to read the English UI, learn the early progression flow and check how your hardware handles the open world. Do not use it to plan a long-term account. Names, rates and quest rewards can change between the test build and launch, and the wipe removes everything you collect. If you want a head start on the actual systems, read the beginner guide and treat the beta as a place to confirm what the guide describes.
Does beta progress carry over?
No. The test is explicitly a wipe: characters, Jinies and items are deleted at the end. Within the test, progress is shared between PC and mobile, so you can start on one device and continue on the other without a separate save. That is the only confirmed continuity.
Three different things get confused here. Shared PC and mobile progress during the closed beta is confirmed. Cross-save between console and PC at launch is not announced. Whether your account or any cosmetic is carried into launch has not been announced either. If a post tells you that beta progress transfers because "the test uses the live client", that is an assumption, not an official statement.
Purchases are not part of the question, because payments are disabled for the whole test. Whether testers receive a launch reward or a thank-you item has not been announced.
Is Roco Kingdom free to play?
Not announced. No store page has published a price, a pre-order, or a business model for the global version. The CN build is free to download and monetizes through a Monthly Card and a Season Pass rather than a box price (CN build, single source). The pass has a standard and a premium tier, and the Monthly Card grants premium currency, stamina items and Prism Shards. Those figures are CN pricing and should not be assumed for the global release.
What the CN build does not show is a paid Jini gacha in the global sense. Whether the global version sells Jini pulls for premium currency is one of the open questions, and it is covered in the FAQ Tips. The only confirmed monetization fact for the global version is negative: you cannot spend money in the beta.
What the CN build tells you about scale
The CN build launched on 26 March 2026 with 450+ Jinies and passed 600+ by Season 3 (CN build). That is the best available measure of how much content the game can hold, and it is not a global launch number. The global roster will be whatever the beta build and later announcements confirm; the CBT build is the only reliable source for the current global count.
Mechanics numbers on this site, from capture odds to stamina costs and weekly caps, are labeled CN build, Season 3. The label matters because the CN build has already been through several seasons of balance changes, and the global client starts from a different point in that timeline. Use the numbers as a description of how the systems work, not as a promise about the build you will download. The Jini dex and the seasons overview carry the same labels for the same reason.
What is still unconfirmed
These are the questions that decide whether you can commit to the game, and none of them have an official answer at the time of writing:
- Global launch date or even a launch window
- Price, regional pricing, and whether a premium-currency Jini gacha exists
- Account system, including whether a publisher account is required on top of the platform account
- Region lock, server locations, and expected ping from North America or Europe
- Cross-save between console and PC, and cross-play between platforms
- Whether global seasons restart at Season 1 or continue the CN numbering
- Whether beta participants receive any launch reward
- The beta end date and total test duration
This page is updated when an official announcement changes any of the above. For the practical side, what to do first when you get into the beta or the launch build, start with the beginner guide. For access, account, monetization and region questions in longer form, the FAQ Tips collects them in one place.
